Adam J. Gomes, 49, of New Bedford passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 19, 2025.

Born in New Bedford, son of Mariana (Da Graca) Gomes and the late Armando J. Gomes, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.

Adam was a hard worker and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. His granddaughter Aubrey was his best friend. He enjoyed customizing cars and going for joyrides around New Bedford. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.

Survivors include his mother, Mariana Gomes; his children, Darin Gomes, Marrisa Millette and Jaycie Millette, all of New Bedford; his siblings, Mary Nolan and her partner John Amado, Laura Vallez, Elizabeth Magnett, and Anna Rodriguez, all of New Bedford, and Armando Gomes Jr. and his partner Alexandria Rodriguez of Pawtucket; his grandchildren, Aubrey Nesmith, Devyn Nesmith, Hope Depina, Chance Depina, Aniyah Gomes, Rylan Gomes, and Darin Gomes, Jr.; his uncles, John Graca and Joe Da Graca; his aunt, Cathy Sergi; and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his half-brother Paul Gomes.

His visiting hours will be Saturday May 24, 2025 from 2-6 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will take place privately at a later date.
