Agnes (Barboza) Gaspar, 95, of Dartmouth passed away Thursday August 22, 2024. She was the wife of the late Abel A. Gaspar; they had been married for 70 years.

Born in Dartmouth, the daughter of the late Joao M. and Maria (Leite) Barboza, she lived in Dartmouth for most of her life.

Agnes loved spending time with her family.  She especially enjoyed attending every Dartmouth sporting event, watching her son coach and her grandchildren participate.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Gaspar and his wife Kathy; four grandchildren, Jennifer Gaspar, Jessica Gaspar, Timothy Gaspar, and Sara Gaspar Pereira; and seven great-grandchildren, Erin Varnum, Jordan and Lillian Gaspar, Bennett, Landon, Kennedy, and Weston Pereira.

She was predeceased by her great-grandson, Nicholas Gaspar.

Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday August 31st at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, South Dartmouth.  Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Nick Strong Foundation .  Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.  For online condolence book, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
