Alberta L. (Bosse) Paiva, 85, of New Bedford died Sunday September 18, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Fabiola and Zephirine (Nerbonne) Bosse, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.

She was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church.

Mrs. Paiva was formerly employed as a bookkeeper for Coyne Laundry and Allen Beam Company until her retirement.

Mrs. Paiva was a member of the Catholic Women's Club. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School and Campbell Secretarial School.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Lillian Hughes, Cecile Scammons, Claudia Perry, Albert Bosse, Alphonse Bosse and Germaine Geurard.

Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Wednesday September 21, 2005 at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Lawrence Church at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday September 20, 2005 from 4-8 PM. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
