Alexander Poulos, 82, of Marion died June 26, 2008 at home after a brief illness.
He was the husband of the late Patricia (MacDonald) Poulos.
Born in Boston, he lived in Milton for many years before retiring to Marion.
Mr. Poulos served aboard the U.S.S. Massachusetts in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was formerly employed in the service department of Boston Gas Company for many years until retirement.
Mr. Poulos enjoyed sailing, history and poetry.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Dianne Allen and her husband Douglas of San Diego, CA, Cynthia Lanigan and her husband Kevin of Pembroke and Deborah Calaris of Houston, TX; 7 grandchildren, Kristen, Amy, Stephen, Tom, Nina, Joe and Alex.

Visiting hours Sunday, June 29th from 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett. His Funeral Service and burial will be private.
