Alfred Souza, 92, of Dartmouth died Thursday December 13, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mary R. (Rebola) Souza.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Anibal and Irene (Paiva) Souza, he lived in Dartmouth for most of his life.

Mr. Souza was formerly employed as a stock clerk at Berkshire Hathaway for many years, and had also been a painter for many years.

He was a member of the Dartmouth Senior Associates.

Survivors include a daughter, Janice M. Ribeiro and her husband Barry, of Dartmouth; a grandson, Barry Ribeiro, Jr., and his wife Michelle, of Dartmouth; and two great-grandchildren, Allysa and Jacob Ribeiro.

He was the brother of the late John Souza, Carrie Martin, Henry Souza, Irene Rapoza, Laura Souza, and Robert Souza.

A private family burial service was held on Wednesday December 26, 2012 at St. John's Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
