Alice (Pinto) De Cruz, 102, of New Bedford passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Kimwell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fall River, MA.  She was the wife of the late Manuel De Cruz.
Born in New Bedford, MA. the daughter of the late Caesar and Virginia (Monteiro) Pinto, she resided in New Bedford most of her life.
She volunteered as a Foster Grandparent at Coastline Elderly Services.
Alice enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, and sharing stories of her life growing up.
She was the sister of the late Mae Dantas, Lillian Gomes, Eva Burgo, Emma Bell, George Pinto, Eugene Pinto, Edwin Pinto and Roy Pinto.
She is also predeceased by her nephews, Eugene Jr., John, Caesar, and Stephen Pinto in which she assisted her brother, Gene in caring for them as her own.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 21 at 10 AM
at Our Lady of Assumption Church. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 21 from 8:30-9:30 AM prior to the Mass at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
