Alice "LaLa" (Perry) Pina, 73, of Mattapoisett died February 18, 2008 at Sippican Healthcare Center after a brief illness.
Born in Mattapoisett, the daughter of the late Joaquim "Jack" and Adelina (Barros) Perreira, she lived in Mattapoisett all of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church.
Mrs. Pina was formerly employed by Brigham Medical for 36 years until retirement.
Survivors include a son, Darryl Pina, and his wife Angelita, of Mattapoisett; a daughter, Deborah Crippen of Altadena, CA; her companion, Louis Cardoza of Mattapoisett; 3 sisters, Mary Montelli and Isabel Alves, both of Fairhaven and Ilda Santos of North Dartmouth; 3 brothers, Jack, John and Joe Perreira, all of New Bedford; 8 grandchildren, Alyce Pina, Louis Pina, Shannon Pina, Sheena Andrade, Michael Crippen, Shana Crippen, Ashley Crippen and Sandra Medina; several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Antone Perry and Dominga Rodrigues.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett Friday, February 22nd at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church, Mattapoisett at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday, February 21st from 4-8 PM.
