Alice S. (Harris) Shell, 64, of New Bedford died April 2, 2016 unexpectedly at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
She was the wife of William H. Shell.
Born in Washington, D.C., the daughter of the late Raymond C. Harris, Sr. and Mary D. (Gomes) Harris, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
She dedicated her time responsible for the love and care of the children of her family.
Survivors include her husband; 2 sons, Greg Shell and his wife Michelle and Marcus Shell, all of New Bedford; 2 brothers, Raymond Harris, Jr. of Boston and Clinton Harris of Springfield; 5 sisters, Frances Stubbs, Ramona Harris, Maria Grace, Dorothy James and Rita Harris, all of New Bedford; 2 grandchildren, Greg Shell, Jr. and Elijah Shell; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late William H. Shell, Jr. and the sister of the late Yvonne Harris, Patricia Harris, Charlotte Perry, Cynthia Harris and Houston Beverly.
Her visitation will be held on Saturday April 9, 2016 from 9-11:30 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, with a Memorial Service being held at 11:30 AM. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
