Allen R. Snurkowski, 57, of New Bedford died December 29, 2022 after a long courageous battle with AML Leukemia.
He was the husband of Debra A. (Coleman) Snurkowski.
Born and raised in Norwich, CT, son of Richard P. Snurkowski and the late Janice M. (LaFlesh) Snurkowski, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.
He was employed as a truck driver with R&L Carriers for several years.
He had a big heart and enjoyed golfing, sailing, socializing and meeting new people. He was an avid New York Giants and Boston Red Sox fan.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Joseph; 2 brothers, Vincent and Anthony; a sister, Mary; he was loved by his nieces and nephews; and a special aunt, Yvette.
His visiting hours will be held on Monday, January 2nd from 2-6 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215.
