Amelia E. (McCann) Bariteau, 91, formerly of Fall River died March 23, 2002 at Sacred Heart Nursing Home after a long illness.

She was the wife of the late Gordon E. Bariteau, daughter of the late John and Mary (Riding) McCann.

Mrs. Bariteau was born in New Bedford and had lived in New Bedford for most of her life, before moving to Fall River in the 1970's.

She was a communicant of St. Mary's Cathedral in Fall River.

Mrs. Bariteau was formerly employed as a lab technician at Berkshire-Hathaway for many years until her retirement.

She was a member of the Catholic Women's Club of Fall River, St. Mary's Senior Citizens, the Pocasset Golf Club and a life member of the Fall River Historical Society.

Survivors include a sister, Rosa Myers of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Thomas J. McCann, Robert McCann, Mary McCann, John Charles McCann, Clara McDonnell and Agnes Lynch.

Her Funeral Service will be private.
