Americo "Mac" DeMoura, 89, of New Bedford died Friday October 10, 2003 at Hallmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the companion of the late Barbara A. Copeland.

Born in Ludlow, the son of the late Domingos and Laura DeMoura, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.

Mr. DeMoura was formerly employed by Glennon Roofing Company and New Bedford Fence and Iron Works until his retirement.

He was a member of the Adam Mickiewicz Club.

Survivors include his caretaker, Phyllis Burke of New Bedford.

His Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday October 16, 2003 at 10 AM in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial in St. John's Cemetery will be private. Visiting hours are omitted.
