Andrew P. Knox, 55, of New Bedford died Friday, November 29, 2024 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by his family.

Born in New Bedford, son of Judy (Dinsmore) Knox and the late Harland R. Knox, Jr., he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.

Andrew had an outgoing, friendly and caring personality and loved being around other people. He enjoyed going to restaurants, watching basketball and going on car rides, especially over bridges and through the tunnels in Boston. He especially loved  his ever growing collection of stereos and radios and the bigger the better. Andrew spent his adult days attending programs at Community Connections and Lifestream.

He is survived by his mother, Judy; two sisters, Deborah and Ann Knox; his sister-in-law, Grace Knox; two nieces, Emma and Audrey Knox; and his caregiver, Lisa Oliveira and her family.

He was predeceased by his brother, David Knox.

His Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 3 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Mattapoisett.
