Angeline (Delgado) Fernandes, 65, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, November 15, 2024.

Born in Dakar, Senegal, daughter of the late Manuel Delgado and the late Joana Fourtado Delgado, she was raised in Senegal before living in Praia, Cabo Verde and New Bedford.

Angelina was a hardworking woman, and a great mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a very religious person and member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. She loved to cook for her family and celebrate holidays, especially Christmas.

Survivors include her children, Abel Fernandes and Christopher Fernandes; her siblings, Jacques Nascimento, Rene Nascimento, Rose Lima, Arminda Delgado, Herminio Delgado, Albertina Delgado, Christophe Delgado and Theresa DoRozario; 2 grandchildren, Anayha Fernandes and Zanayha Fernandes; numerous nieces and nephews; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and friends.

Her family will receive guests on Thursday, November 21st from 9:30 - 10:30 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford followed by her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
