Ann Marie Costa, 69, of Dartmouth died Tuesday, July 2, 2024 unexpectedly at home.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of Patricia A. (Gillin) Costa and the late Gilbert J. Costa, she was raised in New Bedford and later lived in Houston, Texas for many years before returning to the Southcoast area.

She was a graduate of Holy Family High School and later graduated from Southeastern Massachusetts University as a member of the first graduating Visual Design class.

She was the partner with Chris Lockwood in Lockwood Costa Design in Houston, Texas and was also formerly employed as a graphic designer for Southeastern Advertising and Pine Comp Advertising.

She is survived by her mother, Patricia; 8 siblings, Gilbert J. Costa Jr. and his wife Maureen (Berry), Richard B. Costa and his wife Linda (Peckham), Paul J. Costa and his wife Patricia (Mathieu), Mary E. Plourde and her husband Vincent, Eileen M. Levasseur and her husband Wayne, James F. Costa and his wife Dorothy (Calnan), Kevin P. Costa and his wife Maureen (Murphy), and Patricia A. Costa and her partner Daniel Forest; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 AM on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, 343 Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford, MA, with everyone invited to meet directly at Church.
