Antonio D. Andrade, 65, of Spring Hill, Florida passed away Sunday June 21, 2020 at his sister's home in New Bedford surrounded by his family after a long illness.

Born in Brava, Cape Verde, the son of the late Joaquim and Miquelina (Duarte) Andrade, he lived in New Jersey for many years before moving to Florida 20 years ago.

Antonio was formerly employed as a painter.

He enjoyed fishing as his favorite pastime.

He is survived by his fiancée, Adelina Baptista; his sons, Tony Andrade and Matthews B. Andrade; his siblings, Joe Andrade and Maria A. Fernandes; his stepchildren, Treg Helme and Craig Helme; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

His Funeral Service will be held on Friday June 26, 2020 at 10 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday June 25th from 4-8 PM. All attendees are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
