Armand O. Pariseau, 86, of Mattapoisett died January 13, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital.
He was the husband of the late Catherine M. "Kitty" (Maguire) Pariseau.
Born in Fairhaven, the son of the late Ovila and Evelina (Lariviere) Pariseau, he lived in New Bedford most of his life before moving to Mattapoisett in 1972.
Mr. Pariseau was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Rochester.
He was formerly employed by New Bedford Gas & Edison Light Company as a supervisor for many years until his retirement.
Mr. Pariseau served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II.
He enjoyed sailing, golf, camping, playing cribbage and researching his genealogy as a member of the American French Genealogical Society. He was an avid Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and Boston Celtics fan.
Armand and Kitty enjoyed over 40 summers with family and friends at Blueberry Hill Campground on Curlew Pond in Plymouth.
Survivors include his 2 sons, Richard A. Pariseau, and his wife Paula, of Sharon and Robert E. Pariseau, and his wife Tracy Osbahr, of Pelham; 2 daughters, Joan Pariseau Lounsbury, and her husband Philip, of Melrose and Jane M. Pariseau, and her husband Joe Abner, of Middleboro; 8 grandchildren, Michael Pariseau, Melissa Pariseau, Stephen Pariseau, Christopher Pariseau, Jennifer Pariseau, Dana Arnaboldi, Daniel Lounsbury and Jeffrey Lounsbury; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett Thursday, January 17th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Bedford. Visiting hours Wednesday, January 16th from 4-7 PM. Flowers are acceptable or remembrances may be made to the American French Genealogical Society, P.O. Box 830, Woonsocket, RI 02895.
