Arthur "Spider" St. Pierre

Arthur F. "Spider" St. Pierre, 87, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2025. He was the husband of Elizabeth E. Bowen.

Born in New Bedford, son of the late Arthur and Dorothy (Medeiros) St. Pierre, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.

Arthur was a man of many talents and interests. He was an antique collector, artist, glass blower, and a competitive kite flyer with his wife Beth. Together they traveled the country and world flying kites, including a visit to the Kite Flying World Cup in Australia. He worked as a machine mechanic for the Acushnet Company Rubber division for many years.

Survivors include his wife Beth; his daughter, Lisa Santos and her husband Mark of Dartmouth; his grandson Cody Santos; his former wife Diane St. Pierre; his sisters in law, Ruth Bley, Katherine Lutz, Laurie Bowen and Kristin Broadley; and his brother in law Earle Bowen.

He is predeceased by his sister in law Barbara VanderLoop.

An celebration of life will be held in the spring.
