Auberta A. (Murphy) Riley, 79, of New Bedford died March 27, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.

She was the wife of the late Edward J. "Butch" Riley and daughter of the late William S. and Eliza (Apsey) Murphy.

Mrs. Riley was a lifelong resident of New Bedford and a was a communicant of St. James Church.

She was a former member of the New Bedford Women's Club, Ivy Circle.

Survivors include 2 sons, Jeffrey E. Riley, and his wife Johanna, of Mattapoisett and Daniel J. Riley, and his wife Nancy, of Taunton; a cousin, Nancy Doyle of Fairhaven; 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New BedfordMonday, March 31, 2003 at 9 AM.Funeral Mass at St. James Church at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Visiting hours Sunday, March 30th from 3-6 PM.

Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
