Audrey L. (Babineau) Almond, 60, of New Bedford passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2025 after a long illness.

Born in New Bedford to the late Albert and Irene (Johnson) Babineau, she was a lifelong New Bedford resident.  She worked with dedication as a secretary at J.M. of New Bedford for forty-one years.

Audrey found happiness in traveling, especially to Disney, and enjoyed trips to the casino and days spent shopping.

She is survived by her beloved husband of forty years, Scott Almond.  She was a devoted mother to her sons, Scottie and Aaron, and a cherished mother-in-law to Scott's wife Jennifer and Aaron's wife Andrea. Audrey took immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, Chace, Alias, and Adriana, who brought light and laughter to her life.  She was a loving sister to Valerie Leavitt, and a dear aunt to her niece, Jolie and her nephew, Josh. She also shared a special bond with her grand-dog, Luke.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life will be held in Audrey's honor at a later date.  Arrangements were by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
