Audrey V. deSena, 81, of Dartmouth passed away peacefully at home on Monday April 1, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones.  She was the wife of John deSena.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Virginia (Fernandes) Senna, she lived in New Bedford for many years before moving to Dartmouth in the early 2000s.

Audrey was formerly employed as an administrative assistant for the New Bedford School Department, the Registry of Motor Vehicles, and the Fairhaven School Department until her retirement.

She served as a Eucharistic minister at St. Lawrence Church for several years, as well as having volunteered for many church-related activities and functions.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, shopping, talking on the telephone with family and friends, and attending activities at the Dartmouth Senior Center.

She is survived by her husband, John; her children, Jevon deSena and Pamela Sadler; her grandchildren, Eden, Gracie, and London Sadler; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was the sister of the late Mary L. Senna, Dolores M. Gomes, and John A. Senna.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday April 6th at 8 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Lawrence Church at 9 AM.  Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be on Friday April 5th from 4-7 PM.
