Barbara T. (Taylor) Joy, 77, of Mattapoisett died November 20, 2002 at Tobey Hospital after a brief illness.

She was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Ruth E. (Raymond) Taylor.

Born in New Bedford, she had lived in Mattapoisett for many years. She had also previously lived in California and Utica, New York.

Mrs. Joy was formerly employed as an office manager for the Frionor Corporation in New Bedford until retirement.

She was a graduate of the Center School in Mattapoisett and Fairhaven High School. She enjoyed bowling.

Survivors include 2 sisters, Jane T. Chase of Mattapoisett and Elizabeth T. Kudriavetz of Carver; and many nieces and nephews.

A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
