Barbara J. Phinney, 72, of New Bedford passed away Friday June 2, 2023.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Donald F. and Alice B. (Zychowicz) Phinney, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.

Barbara enjoyed cooking, listening to music, attending jewelry making classes, and going on field trips with her friends.

She is survived by her sister, Donna J. McGill and her husband John; two nieces, Kimberly Palmer and her husband Kenneth, and Wendy Koch; and her extended LifeStream family.

A private service was held on Wednesday morning at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial followed in the family plot at North Marion Cemetery. For online condolence book, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
