Barbara C. (Pierce) Popp of Fairhaven went home to the Lord on October 12, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Albert Anger and John Popp.
Born in Worcester, the daughter of the late George F. and Florence (Curtis) Pierce, she lived in Marion most of her life.
Mrs. Popp was an entertainer for many years and later worked for the parole board. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Survivors include a niece, Lori Dexter of Fairhaven; 3 nephews, David Pierce of Connecticut, George Pierce of New Bedford and Mark Pierce of New Bedford; many great-nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late George Pierce, Jr.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett Friday, October 15th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Rita's Church in Marion at 10 AM. Visiting hours Thursday, October 14th from 6-8 PM.
