Barbara D. (Carrier) Roderick, 82, of Mattapoisett died September 7, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Manuel F. Roderick.
Born and raised in Dartmouth, the daughter of the late Daniel and Helen (Walsh) Carrier, she lived in Mattapoisett most of her life.
Mrs. Roderick was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church in Mattapoisett.
She was formerly employed by Tobey Hospital in Wareham.
Mrs. Roderick was a graduate of Dartmouth High School, class of 1943.
Survivors include her son, David Roderick and his wife Rita of Fairhaven; a sister, Jeanne Carrier of Dartmouth; 12 nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Ramon Carrier, Aileen Johnson and Joan Martin.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett Thursday, September 11th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday, September 10th from 6-8 PM.
