Barbara A. (Petrak) Rogers, 59, of New Bedford died Wednesday June 2, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of Richard D. Rogers, Sr., and the late Michael J. Livramento.
Born in Homestead, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late John and Anne (Liscik) Petrak, she had lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
She was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, where she was a member of the Couple's Club.
Mrs. Rogers was formerly employed as a licensed practical nurse at St. Luke's Hospital and Sacred Heart Home until her retirement. She had also been a volunteer at St. Luke's Hospital.
Survivors include her husband; a son, John Caetano of Phoenix, Arizona; a daughter, Lisa Caton of Providence, Rhode Island; two stepchildren, Suzanne Sylvia of New Bedford and Richard D. Rogers, Jr. of Port St. Lucie, Florida; three brothers, Cy Petrak of Cherry Valley, Illinois, Tom Petrak of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and David Petrak of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania; a granddaughter, Tabitha Caetano; four step-grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
