Barbara M. (Camara) Seamans, 68, of New Bedford died Monday August 16, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of Robert W. Seamans.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Silveira) Camara, she had lived in New Bedford all of her life.

She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, and going to Foxwoods.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Randall Costa of New Bedford; 3 daughters, Rhonda Costa, and her companion Jesse Velez, Sandra Seamans and Christine Seamans, all of New Bedford; a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Costa of New Bedford; 2 brothers; a sister; 7 grandchildren, Danyle, Lee Marie, Robert, Cory, Chad, Kyle and Amy; 2 great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Tori; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Bruce D. Costa, Steven A. Costa and Christopher Seamans.

Her Graveside Service will be held on Friday August 20, 2004 at 12 Noon in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday August 19, 2004 from 6-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
