Barbara M. (DeCosta) Tower, 69, of Marion died April 19, 2003 at Sippican Nursing Home after a brief illness.

She was the wife of the late Albert W. Tower, Jr. and daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Rebello) DeCosta.

Mrs. Tower was born in New Bedford and lived in Marion most of her life.

She was a communicant of St. Rita's Church.

Mrs. Tower was formerly employed as a bank manager in Marion for many years until her retirement.

She enjoyed cooking and sewing.

Survivors include her son, Albert W. Tower, III, and his wife Debbie, of Rochester; her daughter, Katherine M. Whelan, and her husband Kevin, of Marion; 4 grandchildren, Bethany Tower, Amanda Tower, Audra Whelan and Barbara Whelan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Graveside Service in Evergreen Cemetery, Marion Tuesday, April 22nd at 11 AM.
