Barry E. Botelho, 63, of Dartmouth died Friday September 17, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Cathy (Copfer) Botelho.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Edmund F. and Olivia (Camara) Botelho, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
Mr. Botelho was formerly employed as an upholsterer for Kaplan's Furniture and DeMello's Furniture. He was also an entertainer, known professionally as "Barry James", who played with several area bands.
He enjoyed playing the lottery.
Survivors include his wife; five children, Jacqueline Bowers, Joseph Franceschini, Suzanne Cyr, Barry Botelho, and Gina Braz; his siblings, James and Bruce Botelho and Debra Costa; and eight grandchildren, Jason, Gregory, Christy, Michelle, Alisha, Olivia, Andrew, and Nicholas.
He was the brother of the late Brenda Correia.
