Beatrice L. (LaFrance) Boulais, 95, of New Bedford died January 23, 2006 at New Bedford Health Care Center after a long illness.

She was the wife of the late Wilfred Boulais.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Albina (Trahan) LaFrance, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life, residing at Melville Towers for many years.

She was a former communicant of Sacred Heart Church.

Mrs. Boulais enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family. She passed away just short of her 96th birthday.

Survivors include a sister, Gertrude Ouellette of Fairhaven; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Aldeas LaFrance, Euclide LaFrance, Arsene LaFrance, Victor LaFrance, Yvonne Clarke, and Noella LaFrance, who died on the same day as Beatrice.

Relatives and friends invited to attend her Funeral Mass which will be celebrated on Friday at 12 Noon in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 121 Mount Pleasant St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery #1. Her family will receive visitors at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford prior to the Mass, beginning at 11 AM.
