IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beatrice
Perry
February 23, 1931 – January 5, 2025
Beatrice (Martin) Perry, 93, of Dartmouth, died January 5th, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her loving family during her peaceful passing.
Beatrice was the beloved wife of the late Robert F. Perry with whom she shared 49 years of marriage. Together, Robert & Beatrice shared ten children and twelve grandchildren.
Beatrice, named Biatriz in Portuguese, was born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Maria Assumpção (Silva) Martin who emigrated from São Miguel, Azores. While raising five children from her first marriage, Beatrice worked at her own Dairy & Insurance Company. Beatrice reunited with her highschool sweetheart Robert, married, had three children and blended their families raising all 10 children together. Beatrice enjoyed a successful career as a Realtor. Beatrice remained in the workforce until her seventies, despite her most important job as matriarch to her large family. In their retirements, she and Robert joyfully helped to raise their grandchildren.
She was a talented seamstress, who also enjoyed cooking, skiing and vacationing with her family. Throughout her retirement and into her nineties, Beatrice focused on her health & well-being which included a supplement regimen, yoga & exercise, all of which she sought to teach those she loved. She continued to enjoy trading stocks and currencies, along with following the real estate market up until her passing.
Above all, Beatrice & Robert, together, devoted their lives to their children & grandchildren. While our hearts ache at the loss of our beautiful Mother and Grandmother we take comfort that she has been reunited with Robert and the rest of her heavenly family.
Survivors include nine children: Steven Camara of South Dartmouth, Judith Camara of Yarmouthport, Robert Camara & his wife Joan of Acushnet, Gail Camara Marks of West Brookfield, Christopher Perry of Dartmouth, Jay Perry of Dartmouth, Melissa Parker & her husband Jeremy of Dartmouth, Susan Perry of New Bedford and Michael Perry & his wife Susan of New Bedford. 12 Grandchildren: Steve Camara and Jocelyn Smith of Dighton, Caitlyn Potter & her husband Miles of Marion, Jillian Marks of West Brookfield, Kimberley & M.J.
