Bernard A. Jacobi, Jr., 59, of New Bedford died July 11, 2007 at Good Samaritan Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Lowell, the son of the late Bernard A. and Jean (Bodgewic) Jacobi, he lived in Lowell most of his life before moving to New Bedford in 1997.
Survivors include his longtime companion, Brenda Almeida of New Bedford; 2 daughters, Karen Bell, and her husband Roger, of Lowell and Laura Jacobi of Sunapee, NH; 6 grandchildren, Brittany, Jacqueline, Jonathan, Ashley, Elizabeth and Caleb; an aunt and several cousins.
He was the father of the late Jennifer Jacobi.
His funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210.
