Bernice E. (Wilson) Geary, 94, of New Bedford died Tuesday November 17, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Donald G. Geary.

Born in North Attleboro, the daughter of the late Gordon B. and Winifred M. (Sulham) Wilson, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.

She attended the First Congregational Christian Church in East Freetown.

Mrs. Geary was formerly employed as a waitress at Grover's Restaurant and at Sassaquin Pharmacy. In her youth, she had been a nanny for private families.

She enjoyed knitting, sewing, gardening, and cooking.

Survivors include a daughter, Jane Balonis and her husband Victor of New Bedford; a brother, Richard E. Wilson of Fountain Inn, SC; a granddaughter, Lorie Nijjar and her husband Monty of Bristow, VA; two great-grandchildren, Aaryanna and Anjali; and nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Eleanor Lambert, Dorothy Wilson, Gordon Wilson, Jr., Kathryn Rothwell, Russell Wilson, Dorothy Braley, and Walter Wilson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Pine Grove Cemetery on Thursday at 9 AM. Visiting hours are omitted.
