Betsy J. (Bennett) Rapoza, 81, of New Bedford died Monday, October 19, 2020 at The Oaks after a brief illness.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Walter and Hilda (Medeiros) Bennett, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.

Betsy enjoyed playing BINGO and spending time with her family.

She is survived by five children, Rowena Charleston and her husband Chris, Sherrie Silva-Santos and her husband Joaquim Santos, Michael Silva, Tricia Howell, and Tyson Rapoza; her sister, Phyllis Cabral; 22 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Phyllis Silva.
