Beverly A. (Boulier) Goulart of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at the age of 89. She was the beloved wife of the late David E. Goulart.

Born in Quincy, MA, the daughter of the late Arthur and Bernice (Blaisdell) Boulier, Beverly was raised in Weymouth before moving to New Bedford where she spent most of her adult life.

Mrs. G, as she was affectionately known, found joy in shopping for vintage clothes and furniture, gardening, and lovingly decorating her home. She cherished her role as a devoted caregiver to her children and grandchildren, and was a proud mom and wife within a multi-generational Navy family.

Beyond her dedication to her family, Beverly was a passionate advocate for social justice and educational equity in her community. She often spoke out alongside members of the NAACP and other community groups to advance civil rights and fight for the expansion of Title I programs within New Bedford Public School system.

She is survived by her loving children, Charles Goulart of New Bedford, Daniel Goulart and his wife Gloria of New Bedford, Lisa Goulart of Dartmouth, and Cheryl Souza and her husband Patrick of Fairhaven. She also leaves behind her brother, Paul R. Boulier; her cherished grandchildren, Ethan and Sophia Goulart, and Samantha and Sean McNulty; her adored great-grandchildren, Maeve, Lyra, and Autumn McNulty; and several cousins and nieces. Beverly was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter, Kristen McNulty.

Her visiting hours will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 4-7 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Funeral Home, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Her graveside service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 10 AM in Rural Cemetery. Friends are invited to meet directly at the grave.
