Beverly J. (Westgate) Goyette, 83, of New Bedford passed away Wednesday August 10, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Abial F. and Ruth M. (Pittsley) Westgate, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.

Beverly was a wonderful mother and unconditional friend. She was the heart that kept her family together. She will be greatly missed. Rest in peace and sleep with Jesus.

She is survived by her son, Paul Goyette of New Bedford; her daughter, Sharon Goyette of Hollywood, Florida; her grandson, Joshua James Goyette; her grandson, Damian Taylor; and her granddaughter, Jessica Taylor.

Private funeral arrangements were by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
