Brother Francis Kalvelage, 84, of New Bedford died August 17, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
Brother Francis had lived in New Bedford at Our Lady's Chapel for 12 years.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
Brother Francis will be transferred to Our Lady's Chapel, 600 Pleasant St., New Bedford on Saturday, August 25th at 4 PM, where he will lie in state until 8 PM. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sunday, August 26th at 3 PM, with Rev. Peter Damien Felhner, F.I. as principal celebrant. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery on Monday will be private. Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
