Carl Machado, 62, of New Bedford died March 17, 2004 at St. Anne's Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Lemos) Machado, he had lived in New Bedford all his life.

He was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.

He was an avid bowler and enjoyed family gatherings.

Survivors include a sister, Mary Ferreira, and her husband Gilbert, of New Bedford; 3 brothers, Edward Machado, and his wife Blanche, of Osterville, Paul Machado, and his wife Claire, of New Bedford, and James Machado, and his wife Terry, of Freetown; and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Joseph Machado, Jr.

Visiting hours Friday, March 19th from 4-7 PM.

Interment St. John's Cemetery.
