Carla P. Sherman, 62, of Alpharetta, GA formerly of Fairhaven died unexpectedly on July 2, 2025 at Northside Hospital Forsyth in Cumming, GA.

Born in New Bedford, MA, daughter of the late Gerald and Patricia A. (Gamble) Sherman, she was raised in Fairhaven, MA.

Carla moved to Alpharetta, GA in 1991 to pursue her career with AT&T, where her achievements and accolades were many.

Carla spent years exploring her family's ancestry and loved to talk about her ancestors and her lineage, tracing them back to the first Mayflower settlers.

Carla avidly supported veterans and worked tirelessly to discover all available information about her Uncle Donald, a WWII hero.

Carla was loved by so many and was known for her bright smile and sweet personality.

Survivors include her brother, Wayne Sherman of East Taunton; her sister-in-law, Maria Sherman of Dartmouth; her beloved nephews and Godsons; Weston Sherman of Fairhaven and Freeman, Patrick and Logan King, all of Georgia; her best friend, Michele King of Alpharetta, GA; and several beloved cousins and friends.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July, 9th at 10:30 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett. Burial will follow in Cushing Cemetery.
