Carlos A. DoSouto, 25, of New Bedford died unexpectedly on June 26, 2007.
Born in Fogo, Cape Verde, the beloved son of Jose and Maria Isabel (Spinola) DoSouto of New Bedford, he lived in New Bedford for the past 13 years.
He was a parishioner, active member, and lector at Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Carlos was employed as a barber at Tropical Unisex Salon in New Bedford.
He was a standup comic in Boston and Providence.
Survivors include his parents; three brothers, Carlitos DoSouto of New Bedford, Hank Teixeira and Henry Teixeira, both of Boston; many cousins, including Hirondina Monteiro who lived with his family; his maternal grandparents, Joao and Sarah Spinola of New Bedford; and many aunts and uncles.
He was the grandson of the late Maria (Santa) DoSouto and Henrique Pires.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Saturday, June 30th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday, June 29th from 5-9 PM.
