Carmen M. (Reyes) Colon, 86, of New Bedford died July 28, 2022 at Tremont Nursing Home after a long illness.
Born in Ciales, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Saturnilo and Margot (Caban) Reyes, she lived in New York and New Bedford since 1971.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching Spanish soap operas and the Boston Red Sox.
Survivors include her 6 children, Marisol Awad of Cranston, RI, William Colon and his wife Linda, Enrique "Ricky" Colon, Emelin Perez and her husband Bienvenido "Tito", David Colon and his wife Melissa and Alicia Colon, all of New Bedford; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her visiting hours will be held on Monday, August 1st from 4-8 PM in the from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 2nd at 10 AM in the funeral home followed by burial in Rural Cemetery.
