Carol L. Frezza

Carol Frezza, 53, of New Bedford passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2026. She moved on peacefully in the presence of her sons. She is survived by her mother, Marlene Bertoldo and bonus Dad Daniel Bertoldo; sons Christian Souza and Nick Souza; her sister, Ruth Adamides; and her nephews Evan Adamides and Aidan Adamides. Carol was the daughter of the late John Frezza and granddaughter of George Frezza, Linda Drake and Woodland Drake.

Carol, a loving friend and fierce competitor, spent much of her time with loved ones and playing games. Her favorite hobbies included arts and crafts, relaxing with her pets, playing poker or pool with her loved ones, swimming, watching movies and winning at bingo. Carol graduated from Greater New Bedford Voc Tech and attended The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She held various professional roles over the years including AT&T, Citizens Bank and the Post Office.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10 am at St. Lawrence Church, 110 Summer St., New Bedford. Following the service will be her Celebration of Life from noon to 2:30pm at the Madeira Club in New Bedford, 1626 Acushnet Ave.
