Obituary

Carol A. Tate, 60, of New Bedford died April 22, 2025 unexpectedly at Boston Medical Center.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Robert A. and Catherine (Delano) Tate, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was employed as officer administrator at G.E. Renewable Energy.  Prior to that she was office administrator at several local fish houses.
Carol was a communicant of St. James Church.
She enjoyed travel, reading, dancing and the company of her 2 cats Cleo and Neph.
Survivors include her sister, Susan Tate of New Bedford and Rebecca Silver who was like a sister; a brother and 3 more sisters; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 2 brothers and a sister.
Her visiting hours will be held on Friday, April 25th from 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org or to CARE Southcoast Animal Shelter, 197 Middle Rd.
