Carrie B. (Sherrod) Branch, 86, of Hyde Park, formerly of New Bedford died Wednesday January 16, 2008 at Parkwell Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Otis T. Branch.

Born in Jasper, Alabama, the daughter of the late Laurence and Maggie (Cooper) Sherrod, she lived in New Bedford for many years until moving to Hyde Park in 2005.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Branch-Curry and her husband Bobby of Hyde Park; two grandchildren, Damon Otis Branch of PA.; and Danielle Ericka Branch of Atlanta.

She was the mother of the late Donald Branch.

Private Funeral Services were held on Saturday morning at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial followed in Rural Cemetery.
