Catherine M. (Taylor) Pimental, 86, of New Bedford died Saturday November 8, 2008 after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Abel Pimental.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late James A. and Mary Jane (Barnes) Taylor, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life. She had also resided in Rochester for ten years.

She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. She was a member of the Legion of Mary of St. Casimir Church and St. Joseph-St. Therese Church.

In her earlier years, she worked as a billing clerk for the Aerovox Corporation. She was a member of the Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Brokers and Salesmen. She and her late husband owned and operated Pimental Realty for 14 years.

She was a graduate of Holy Family High School.

She enjoyed traveling all over the world with her husband.

Survivors include two sons, Abel J. Pimental of Fairhaven and Wayne M. Pimental and his wife Marie of Rochester; a brother, Francis Taylor of New Bedford; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late James A. Taylor, Jr. and Kilian "Bob" Taylor.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, Rochester. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted.
