Celeste S. (Soares) Almeida, 85 of New Bedford died April 19, 2020 at home surrounded by her family.
She was the wife of the late Justiniano J. Almeida.
Born in Sao Nicolau, Cape Verde, daughter of the late Jaime F. Soares and Ernestina S. Almeida, she lived in New Bedford since 1983.
Survivors include her 10 children, Joao, Carlos, Baltazar, Rosa, Rosinda, Carla, Antonia, Ernestina, Johnny and Ana; 2 brothers, Diamantino and Fernando; 3 sisters, Arlinda, Celia and Fatima; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Due to the current restrictions on public gatherings, her Funeral Service and burial will be private for immediate family. Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
