Charles W. Pelletier, Jr., 61, of New Bedford died Saturday January 19, 2008 at New Bedford Rehabilitation Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Theresa M. (Finni) and Charles W. Pelletier, Sr., he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Mr. Pelletier was formerly employed as the assistant manager of Finni-Queen Jewelers in Downtown New Bedford. He later worked for the City of New Bedford Traffic Department until his retirement.
He was a longtime volunteer for the New Bedford Civil Defense and Emergency Management Services. He was a member of the Amateur Radio Association. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Marion Golf Club. He was a graduate of Holy Family High School.
Survivors include his cousins, John Finni of New Bedford, Patricia Loveridge of Lakeville, Rev. Donald Paradis, M.F., of Attleboro, Jeanne Reedy of Fairhaven, Charles Chenard of New Bedford, Raymond Pelletier of Dartmouth, and Doris Kruger of Middleton; and his godchild, David A. Loveridge of North Attleboro.
His Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday February 5, 2008 at 10 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
