Cheryl A. "Lee" Pina, 73, of New Bedford died Monday, May 26, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Antone and Rose (Rozario) Pina, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.

Cheryl loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed trips to the casino and playing Bingo.

She is survived by three sons, Kevin Pina, Cory Pina, and Shawn Pina and his wife Leah; her daughter, Jaime Pina; her fiance, Brent Covey; two sisters, Diane Johnson and her husband Rod and Janice Roderiques and her husband Manny; her brother, Barry Gomes; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by a visitation from 1:30-4:00 PM. For directions and guestbook, visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
