Christine N. Oakley, 86, of New Bedford passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at the Royal of Fairhaven Nursing Home.
Born in Wareham, she lived in New Bedford most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Ellsworth R. and Edelle (Azevedo) Oakley.
Christine loved bingo, playing cards, watching movies, singing in the choir, and most of all spending time with her family.
She was an elder of the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe.
Survivors include two sons, James R. Floyd III and his wife Bonnie of California, Dion W. Floyd and his wife Ursula of New Bedford; two daughters Venessa M. Gonzalez and her husband Peter, and Leah "Pebbles" Andrews of New Bedford; a brother, Ellsworth R. Oakley; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Irving W. Oakley and John H. Oakley.
