Christopher John Duarte, 42, of New Bedford died April 1, 2007 suddenly at St. Luke's Hospital.

Born in New Bedford, the son of Beatrice Duarte and the late John Gomes, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.

He enjoyed wrestling, drawing, music, fishing, photography and repairing bicycles.

Survivors include his mother; three brothers, Richard Duarte of Westport, Stephen Duarte and his wife Anita of New Bedford, and Carlton Neves of Dartmouth; two sisters, Diane Duarte of Florida, and Brenda Duarte and her companion Manny, of New Bedford; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
