Cindy M. Santos, 68, of New Bedford passed away Friday, August 29, 2025 at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Born in Bourne, daughter of the late Domingo Manuel Santos and the late Candida (Grace) Santos, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.

Cindy was a graduate of New Bedford High School, Class of 1974, where she was the Head Cheerleader.

She was formerly employed by the Social Security Administration for 27 years until her retirement. In retirement she was employed as a Personal Care Attendant for many years.

Cindy enjoyed sports and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. She loved animals, especially cats, and spent time volunteering for local animal shelters. Cindy was a very outgoing and social person and always enjoyed talking with and helping others. She would talk to anybody, anywhere and you would become a friend for life. Cindy could walk into a sad gloomy room and make everyone laugh.

She is survived by her two children, Marc Ramos and his wife Jessica and Victoria Santos; three grandchildren, Madden Ramos, Maisen Santos, and Octavia Coward; two sisters, Gail Santos and Donna Britto and her husband Robert; her niece, Alysha Fillion and her husband James; her nephew, Robert Britto, II; her great-niece, Avalynn Fillion; her great-nephew, Jaxon Fillion; and her cat, Sofee.

She was predeceased by her niece, Niomi Britto.

Her visitation will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 1-4 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will be private.
